The conservancy  is East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary and a major conservation hub that also provides a safe haven for great apes and other wildlife.It operates a unique, self-sustaining model through tourism, livestock production, and community outreach programs to fund its conservation efforts. The conservancy is home to several of the Big Five, a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees, and plays a critical role in global conservation efforts for endangered species. Olpejeta conservancy is also home to the Last of the two known Northern white rhinos remaining in the world.
